Some of the Best Donuts I've had in the area!! I work in Huntsville and my coworkers are constantly asking for me to bring some in when it's my turn

We stopped by to check out the bakery located next door to the tamale store in Athens. For every 1 customer going to the tamale store, there were 6 going in to buy freshly made donuts, bear claws, fritters and filled cream puffs. This is a locally owned mom donut shop I believe. The sweet lady behind the counter was busy with customers ahead of us. She has 3 other people working behind the counter so the wait isn't long. You need to get there early in the day for the large selection. We got there about 2 hours before closing. Because there were people ahead of us I watched 3 dozen pastries go out the door. The selections were slim but something is better than nothing. I purchased a cream cheese filled donut and a chocolate donut to go. The cream cheese filled donut was divine. Hubs asked me why I didn't buy more. I bought the last one that's why I didn't buy more. The chocolate donut was very good but not as good as the cream cheese filled donut. The pastry was soft, not overly sweet and the delicious cream cheese filling was velvety and not very sweet resulting in delicious bites. We highly recommend this store. You might not care for the tamales next door as we all have different tastes. The donut shop has enough variety that a person can find something sweet and delectable. Please give yourself some love and visit K-May Donuts. They are fire!!

WOW! The bear claws are incredible..ALL of them are delicious...We ordered a dozen and got a variety. These are in the top 5 donuts we've ever had and we travel all over the country! Highly recommend!!

Okay, K-May. Where have you been all my life? We've been trying to find a respectable donut shop for years, and now, our prayers have been answered. Delectable cake donuts, a bit crispy on the outside, light and not too sweet on the inside. Luscious raised glazed or filled; these are the simple donuts from my youth. Nothing fancy, just good ol' donuts, prepared with quality ingredients, no oily aftertaste. VERY reasonably priced. The best part of our visit was while we were still making our selections, several customers came in, and the lady behind the counter said, "YOU HURRY!" So endearing. I felt like I was back home in SoCali, where the Koreans have cornered the market making the BEST donuts.

The best of everything and made fresh in house! Delicious donuts, fritters and kolaches. Friendly service with smile, served up regularly in this family atmosphere! I drive out of my way to get my sweet treats here.

These are the best donuts in the North Alabama area and they are always fresh. A great family-owned business and they open early so I can stop by before work.

I brought them back to Dalton Ga. Their lemon filled, blueberry cake, & sour cream are all top notch. First time trying the fritters... and they are rich... but I totally understand the reviews of yum! Cream cheese filled donuts are my favorite! They are more like cheese Danish flavored donuts. Huge fan of these... alas... your not always lucky enough to see them. The savory sausage in a blanket with jalapeno are also one of my favorites! If you live in Athens and have never had K-May- you should! They survived COVID for good reason!! People KNOW K-May is yum yum yum.

Run to this place! Solid service and delicious doughnuts. Very nice owners too!! Tried the chocolate frosted, glazed, jelly and frosted blueberry. Amazing. Made the drive to Alabama all the more enjoyable!

Great family owned donut shop. The family even remembers your name. Limited seating, fair prices on all baked goods. Bottled beverages are a bit pricey.
